NEY YORK CITY, NY. ~ For the first time since her mother Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance in early February, “TODAY” anchor Savannah Guthrie returned to the desk Monday. Guthrie sat down in March with Hoda Kotb for her first interview since the national search, saying that returning to the show is “part of my purpose right now.” Guthrie’s co-anchor Craig Melvin told the world about Guthrie’s plan to return amidst the unrest of the ordeal on March 27. Guthrie wore yellow during her first day back to symbolize the ribbons and flowers left outside of her mother’s home in Tucson, Arizona.
