Michigan Native on 16-Game Winning Streak

METRO DETROIT ~ A former metro Detroit resident is among the most successful Jeopardy! players of all time, currently on a 16-game victory streak in the iconic game show.

Jamie Ding, a 2009 graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School and now a New Jersey resident, won his 16th game on Friday, winning a total of $462,401. According to The Jeopardy! Fan, a website that compiles Jeopardy data, reported that Ding is the eighth most successful player in the show’s history in terms of money won.

He has a chance to extend his winning streak during the show’s next airing on Monday evening.
