Chris and Lloyd talk to Steve Mitchell, the President and CEO of Mitchell Research and Communications about a new poll that shows Abdul El-Sayed 7% above Mike Rogers in the Michigan Senate Race.
DETROIT ~ As Election Day approaches, Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed appears to be gaining momentum, according to a recent poll from Mitchell Research & Communications. Pollster Steve Mitchell said El-Sayed’s support among independent and younger voters has helped expand his lead, with the candidate holding a 51% to 44% advantage over Republican Mike Rogers and leading by 33 percentage points among voters ages 18 to 29.
For many Michigan voters, the race reflects differing priorities across generations. Mitchell said El-Sayed is also performing strongly among African American voters statewide, a development that has helped strengthen Democratic confidence as the campaign enters its final days before Election Day.
