DETROIT, MICH. ~ The Dylan Larkin trade saga has reached a boiling point. The former Detroit Red Wings Captain will not appear on the ice for the team until he is traded to a new organization.
Larkin’s agent Pat Brisson posted on X today, saying, “Dylan’s had enough of the situation. We believe he’s been very professional and cooperative through this process.”
Larkin, the University of Michigan product who has been the team’s center for more than a decade, requested a trade shortly after the season and recently expanded the list of teams he would waive his no-trade clause to join.
While teams are reportedly pursuing Larkin, Detroit has been holding out to find better value, considering Larkin’s production at 30 or more goals a year for the past five seasons and team-friendly contract with five years remaining at an average annual value of $8.7 million.
