WASHINGTON D.C. ~ The U.S. Supreme Court upheld access to national abortion pills by mail Thursday after it ruled in favor of two mifepristone manufacturers.
Danco Laboratories and GenBioPro filed emergency requests to decide on this matter after the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Louisiana ruled on May 1 that would have effectively banned the drug from being mailed nationwide. The court made the decision 7-2, with Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas being the dissenting votes.
