MICHIGAN, Feb. 27, 2024 ~ Gov. Gretchen Whitmer expects a sizable protest vote against President Joe Biden in Tuesday’s primary election by those who are angered over his handling of Israel’s onslaught on Gaza.

In a recent interview on CNN, Whitmer, who is a part of Biden’s re-election campaign, said that former President Donald Trump being back in office would “Be devastating not just on fundamental rights not just on our democracy here at home, but also when it comes to foreign policy.” The Listen to Michigan campaign, which has the support of 28% of Michigan Democrats under the age of 30 according to a recent Emerson College poll, is pushing Michigan voters to fill out the “uncommitted” option on the primary ballot to push Biden to support a cease-fire in Gaza war that has killed nearly 30,000 Palestinians since October, a majority of them women and children.
