DETROIT, Feb. 20, 2024 ~ Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) endorsed a campaign that aims to send a message to President Joe Biden through Michigan‘s Democrat primary about his support of Israel‘s military onslaught on Gaza.

Over the weekend, Tlaib, the only Palestinian American in Congress, endorsed the Listen to Michigan campaign organized by Arab American activists urging people to choose the “uncommitted” ballot option in the Democrat primary on Feb. 27, hoping to apply more pressure on his administration to call for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Other prominent Michigan politicians like Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud and former Congressman and Jewish American Andy Levin have also publically supported the uncommitted campaign.
