MICHIGAN, Jan. 30, 2024 ~ Chaos reigns in the Michigan Republican Party as disputes continue over who is the party’s chairperson during a pivotal election year.

Another wrench has been thrown into the party’s drama with former President Donald Trump endorsing former U.S. Congressman Pete Hoekstra, who was recently elected by some members of the party’s state committee, as the party’s chairperson. However, Kristina Karamo refuses to step down as chairperson, refusing to recognize the vote earlier in January as legitimate under the party’s bylaws.
