Former Warren Mayor Jim Fouts to Run for State House

WARREN, April 22, 2024 ~ After his lengthy legal bid to prevent himself from being term-limited out of office failed last year, former long-time Warren Mayor Jim Fouts filed Friday to run for the State House.

Fouts, 81, will run as a Democrat in the State House District 14, challenging incumbent State Rep. Mike McFall (D-Hazel Park) in the August Democrat primary election. Fouts told Marie Osborne and Kevin Dietz that, “The amount of years you’ve been on this earth means nothing. It’s what you’ve done (with) your time and what you can still do, and I have a lot of energy. I have a lot of drive.
