MICHIGAN, Dec. 12, 2023 ~ A new CNN poll published Monday found that President Joe Biden is trailing former President Donald Trump with voter support in the 2024 election bid in Michigan.
About 40% of Michigan voters responded that they would support Biden, who beat Trump in Michigan by just 150,000 votes in 2020, falling short of Trump’s 50% support, with the other 10% saying they would not vote for either candidate. This comes as many Muslim and Arab Americans across Michigan, which has one of the highest Arab American populations in the country, denounced Biden over his response to the Israel–Hamas conflict that has seen over 18,400 people in Gaza killed by Israeli airstrikes, with Michigan Arab leaders recently joining the #AbandonBiden campaign in key swing states.
