DETROIT, Nov. 2, 2023 ~ Shortly after the UAW reached a historic agreement with Detroit‘s Big Three automakers and ended a 46-day strike, Toyota Motor announced it would be raising wages for its non-unionized workforce.

Toyota manufacturing factory workers will be given a 9% general pay raise starting Jan. 1, a reduction of the time needed to receive top pay from eight to four years, and other pay increases for logistics and service parts employees. UAW President Shawn Fain signaled on Sunday that he is interested in bringing other non-union car manufacturers like Toyota and Telsa for contract bargaining in 2028.
