Ford Cuts Back on Electric Vehicle Battery Orders Amid Slowed EV Sales

DEARBORN, May 14, 2024 ~ After losing over $100,000 per electric vehicle in Q1, Ford Motor Co. is reducing its orders for EV batteries.

The announcement was made this week amid reported waning interest in EV’s and dropping sales. Recently, Ford has been making staff cuts at plants that produce its all-electric pickup truck, the F-150 Lightning.
