GM to Retire Malibu to Make Room For Chevy Bolt EV Production

DETROIT, May 9, 2024 ~ An era will come to an end for General Motors this fall when it retires its last line of sedans will be retired.

The company will stop producing the Chevy Malibu, with the factory that produces it in Kansas switching to producing the Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle. The Malibu line was introduced back in the 1960s, with vehicle production going dormant from 1983 to 1997.
