DEARBORN, Oct. 16, 2023 ~ During a Monday press conference, Ford Motor Co. Chairman Bill Ford called for UAW to end its strike and reach a deal with the major three Detroit automakers over concerns that it could hurt the company.

Ford, who has been involved with every union contract negotiation since 1982, said the longer the strike continues, the more the economy suffers and hurts its ability to compete with companies like Toyota, Honda, and Tesla. Last week, UAW announced the strike at Ford’s Kentucky Truck plant, the company’s most profitable.
