About 4,000 UAW Mack Truck Workers Reject Contract, Go on Strike

Oct. 9, 2023 ~ Almost 4,000 UAW workers at Mack Trucks, owned by Volvo Group, went on strike Monday morning after it rejected a tentative labor agreement.

About 73% of UAW Mack truck members voted to not accept the agreement Sunday, which included a 19% pay raise over five years. Some union members said that the pay rise offer did not adequately address the rise in inflation.
