MIKE PARSONS
Mike Parsons is the Executive Producer of Focus with Paul W. Smith on 760 WJR, heard weekdays from noon to 2 p.m., where he helps shape one of Detroit’s most influential daily conversations. A Michigan Association of Broadcasters award winner, Mike brings a sharp editorial instinct and an ear for compelling storytelling, earning recognition including the 2021 Best in Category honor for WJR’s production of War of the Worlds.
Mike’s career in radio began in 2007 as an intern on the Jim Harper and the Magic Morning Show on 102.7 WMGC, launching a path that has spanned producing, hosting, and co-hosting roles across the Detroit market. A graduate of Oakland University with a BA in Communications, he most revently co-hosted First Thing with Mike Parsons and Renee Vitale on WJR, building a reputation for smart, engaging, and approachable on-air presence.
