CONTINUED: Walsh serves as a Senior Analyst at The Martec Group, where he leads commercial due diligence projects for private equity firms evaluating industrial manufacturers, specialty chemical companies, and defense contractors. Through his work, he helps provide insights that influence investment decisions and support the growth of businesses across critical sectors of the economy. His ability to quickly master complex industries, uncover meaningful opportunities, and communicate strategic recommendations has earned him recognition as a thoughtful and driven professional.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Liam is equally committed to advancing Detroit’s manufacturing culture. As the founder and operator of Inland Seas Industrial Co., he spends evenings and weekends building products and expanding his skills in CNC machining, plasma cutting, and welding. Through his involvement with i3 Detroit, Michigan’s largest nonprofit makerspace, he contributes his time and expertise to a community of makers, engineers, and entrepreneurs who share a passion for creating and building.
A dedicated supporter of Detroit’s next generation of leaders, Liam has been actively engaged with the Detroit Economic Club and its Career Readiness Academy since joining in 2025. Working one-on-one with Detroit students, he has helped young people develop résumés, prepare for interviews, and explore career opportunities. By sharing his own experiences in manufacturing, business, and economic development, he encourages students to see themselves as contributors to a city that continues to make, build, and innovate.
As he continues to grow both professionally and personally, Liam remains focused on becoming more effective in his work, more connected to the people around him, and more valuable to the city he proudly calls home.
