WASHINGTON D.C. ~ The GOP was handed a blow Monday by the Supreme Court, which decided to uphold a Mississippi law that allows election officials to count mail-in ballots received after Election Day.
The Republican National Committee challenged the law that allows ballots received after Election Day, as long as they were sent beforehand, though the court struck down its challenge in a 5-4 vote. Over a dozen states have similar laws on the books, mostly in Democrat-led states.
