April 30, 2026 ~ Henry Ford Health’s Lauren Zakalik joins Jamie Edmonds for the first edition of “Jamie’s Journey: Angels Along the Way.”
DETROIT, MICH. ~ Just a few weeks removed from announcing on air that she would temporarily step away from ‘JR Morning for breast cancer treatment after getting the diagnosis two months prior, Jamie Edmonds is back with a new show, “Jamie’s Journey: Angels Along the Way.”
The weekly podcast shares her emotional fight against cancer and highlights the people who are helping her through this journey, including her husband, daughter, and friends. This week, she is joined by her childhood friend Lauren Zakalik from Henry Ford Health.
Edmonds announced last week that she has received eight of her 16 treatments for her cancer, marking the halfway point to recovery.
“There are really dark times, a lot of negativity, you’re going to think the worst, but there is beauty in this as well,” a teary-eyed Edmonds said. “And I see that when people are picking up Olivia for me and stuff like that.”
