How Long is Too Long for ‘Skelly’ to Sit in Your Front Yard?

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, MICH. ~ A new township ordinance in Redford is calling for the removal of holiday decorations 60 days after the fact, but Adam Pierson, a 37-year-old disabled veteran, is pushing back after receiving a warning at the end of last month for his decorations.

Pierson moved into the “Skelly House” on Beech Daly over two years ago, and inherited skeleton yard decorations that have been a fixture at the house for about a decade. Pierson has kept them up year-round but now is being ordered to take them down by New Year’s Day.
