TAMPA, FLA. ~ Chief Judge Christopher C. Sabella, the judge presiding over Detroit Lions’ cornerback Terrion Arnold’s hearing, found probable cause and set a $1 million bond after siding with the defense Monday at a pre-trial detention hearing. Arnold is allowed to leave his home to attend football matters or meet with his lawyer, but will have to surrender his passport, after Florida prosecutors attempted to keep him in jail until his trail and get him an ankle monitor.
Arnold had been in jail since last Wednesday after turning himself in for the incident that occurred in February.
The cornerback is charged with three counts of kidnapping, three counts of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy to kidnap and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. He faces life in prison.
Six other suspects, as some reached plea deals with authorities, are also facing charges as Arnold has denied any involvement in the incident.
Arnold is accused of organizing the scheme by luring three men to an Airbnb, where he and others involved beat the victims in retaliation for allegedly stealing $200,000 worth of property from Arnold.
