DETROIT ~ A new hotel project next to Huntington Place was announced on Wednesday, even as another hotel connected to the convention center is still being built.
Claude Molinari, president and CEO of Visit Detroit, said that The Sterling Group will begin construction in early 2027 on a 600-room, $450 million hotel located on the block of Fort Street, Washington Boulevard, Cass Avenue, and Congress Street. This hotel will be a part of the expansion of Huntington Place, which includes a JW Marriott hotel and a pedestrian bridge.
