
DETROIT ~ Ford Motor Company turned Huntington Place into an off-road playground Tuesday, unveiling new models and partnerships that underscore its commitment to adventure-ready vehicles and lifestyle branding.
The Detroit Proud: Off-Road Edition event brought together enthusiasts and industry insiders for an immersive experience highlighting Ford’s Bronco, Raptor, and Tremor lineups. The evening featured a “trailgating” atmosphere and a desert-inspired display designed to evoke the spirit of exploration and rugged performance.

(CONTINUED) Headlining the event was the debut of the 2027 Bronco RTR, a performance-oriented variant developed in collaboration with Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR team. Positioned between the standard Bronco and the high-powered Raptor, the RTR offers race-inspired engineering at a more accessible price point, signaling Ford’s intent to broaden its off-road portfolio.
Ford also teased future additions to the Bronco family, including potential work-focused and premium trims aimed at expanding the brand’s appeal. These announcements reflect a strategy to cater to both utility-driven buyers and those seeking upscale features without sacrificing capability.
Beyond vehicles, Ford emphasized partnerships and community engagement. A multi-year collaboration with Carhartt was announced, featuring co-branded merchandise and plans for a special-edition Super Duty truck. In a nod to public service, Ford donated a specially equipped Bronco to Teton County Search & Rescue and launched a nationwide program to support rescue teams.
All vehicles furtured during the Ford Bronco event, including the new Bronco RTR, will be on display when the Detroit Auto Show opens to the public this Saturday at Huntington Place.
