Henry Ford Health’s $3 Billion Project Set to Begin Work in Spring

DETROIT, March 25, 2024 ~ A $3 billion development for a Henry Ford Health expansion in Detroit‘s New Center area and apartment project is set to start construction this coming spring.

Crain’s Detroit Business managing editor Mike Lee spoke to WJR‘s Guy Gordon, Lloyd Jackson, and Jamie Edmonds about the project, which recently received $300 million in tax breaks from the Detroit City Council. The project, led by Henry Ford HealthMichigan State University, and the Detroit Pistons, will build mixed-income apartments, an expansion of Henry Ford Hospital, and a Henry Ford-MSU medical research center.
