Jan. 18, 2023 ~ A new report from the American Cancer Society finds that more people are getting colon cancer at younger ages.

Some doctors believe the rise in cancer rates can be attributed to an increase in obesity, processed foods, and antibiotics. Colorectal cancer, uterine cancer, kidney cancer, gastric or stomach cancer, and pancreatic cancer specifically are on the rise.

Colorectal cancer in particular, once the fourth-leading cause of cancer deaths for people younger than 50, is now the leading cause for men in this age bracket, ranking second for women. While there has been a rise in pancreatic cancer diagnoses, survival rates for the disease are improving.
