MICHIGAN, Jan. 9, 2024 ~ Viewers of this year’s Super Bowl broadcast, the most watched television broadcast every year in the U.S., will not see Detroit’s Big Three automakers represented in the highly hyped commercial spots.

With a 30-second ad spot reportedly at about $7 million this year, Ford Motor Co., General Motors, and Stellantis will skip the Super Bowl this year amid cost cuts to preserve profit margins. While Ford hasn’t advertised in the Super Bowl for years now, this will be a breakaway from GM and Stellantis’ usual advertising strategy with the big game.
