DETROIT, Dec. 14, 2023 ~ A suspect in the murder case of metro Detroit Jewish leader and Democrat Party activist Samantha Woll was charged with homicide, home invasion, and lying to a peace officer.
Detroit resident Michael Manual Jackson-Bolanos, 28, was arraigned Wednesday after being taken into police custody the Sunday prior, accused of fatally stabbing Woll, 40, outside her Detroit house during a home invasion. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said Jackson-Bolanos had no connection to Woll and that there is no evidence of this being a hate crime, pointing to her Israeli flag hanging outside her home being left untouched as evidence against her religious identity being a motive.
