99th America’s Thanksgiving Parade to March Down Woodward in Detroit

DETROIT, Nov. 21, 2023 ~ America’s Thanksgiving Parade will march three miles down Woodward Avenue between Kirby to Congress streets, marking the parade’s 99th anniversary.

The parade will start at 8:45 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, featuring multiple metro Detroit marching bands, the iconic paper-machete big heads of local icons, clowns handing out beads to children, and a new Motown float. Former Detroit Lions player and 760 WJR host Lomas Brown will act as co-grand marshal this year with broadcast journalist Huel Perkins.
