Sept. 12, 2023 ~ Henry Ford Health recently conducted the first K-Clip implant in North America, a device that could help millions of seniors with heart problems.

Henry Ford Interventional Cardiologist Pedro Engel Gonzalez conducted the minimally-invasive surgery to implant the device to help regulate tricuspid regurgitation, a heart condition that leaks blood back into the top heart chamber, adding more strain to the organ. This surgery comes after the hospital implanted a LuX Valve into a patient for the first time, which also helps with tricuspid regurgitation.

WJR Senior News Analyst Lloyd Jackson interviewed Gonzalez and the 85-year-old Michigan man who received the K-Clip implant on “JR Morning with Guy Gordon, Lloyd Jackson, and Jamie Edmonds.”
