Vacant Building To Be Refurbished

The Lee Plaza, a long-vacant building on Detroit’s west side, has been sold, and will be redeveloped.

Developers plan to offer market-rate housing after renovation, according to the city of Detroit.
The 17 story building opened in 1927 and went vacant more than 20 years ago. The old hulk on West Grand Blvd. will be turned into 180 residential units. Half of the units would be reserved for median-income residents.
