MICHAEL HENSLEY

Michael Hensley was born and raised in Warren, Michigan. He studied at Saginaw Valley State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2017. He also obtained his Certified Travel Industry Specialist credentials from Indian University Purdue University Indianapolis in 2019.

After graduating from SVSU, he stayed in the Great Lakes Bay Region to promote the region to potential visitors. He now serves as the travel marketing manager where he passionately works to show people why the Great Lakes Bay Region is such a special place to visit.

Michael has been described as “enthusiastic and dedicated about his work” by friends and colleagues and was awarded as one of the Destinations International 30 under 30 in 2020.

Michael spends his free time outdoors, hiking, biking, hunting and fishing. He also volunteers to coach freshman and JV football at John Glen High School in Bay County. Loyal to his newfound community, Michael makes sure every visitor feels right at home in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
