Warren Man Guilty In Wife Killing

A Warren man is found guilty of first-degree murder for killing his wife and burying the body in a shallow grave in northern Michigan in 2014.

A Macomb County jury found Lloyd Dejohn guilty of strangling, stabbing, and beating his wife Kimberley, keeping the body in a closet for several days, and hauling the body in his pickup truck under a load of dirt to Cheboygan , where he buried it in the woods. Dejohn was having an affair with his cousin, Anjelica Gonzales.

Gonzales and her mother put mothballs in the closet, cleaned up stains on the floor, and painted the interior of the house in Warren. They testified they didn’t know that Dejohn had killed his wife.

The body was found, wrapped in a tarp, along with a ceiling fan, a heating vent, and carpeting.
