Correspondent Alan Scaia reports: Several interesting new laws are going into effect on Friday. In Illinois, underage drinkers who call 911 for a friend who needs medical attention will not face criminal charges. In New Hampshire, anyone convicted of sexual assault while hunting, trapping, or fishing will have their fish and game licenses revoked. BB and air soft guns sold in California will be required to have bright markings to distinguish them from real firearms. In Texas, qualified individuals will be able to carry handguns openly if they are properly holstered. Texas becomes the 45th state to allow the open carry of guns. Secretly filming someone in a place of “presumed privacy” in Oregon will be upgraded from a misdemeanor to a felony. And in China, couples will now be allowed to have two children instead of just one.
