JERUSALEM ~ Israelis marked the third anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks Tuesday, remembering the victims and reflecting on the lasting impact the events continue to have on the country. The attacks killed about 1,200 people and left families and communities across Israel forever changed.
Three years later, many Israelis say the trauma remains part of daily life as the country continues to grapple with the emotional, social and security consequences of the attacks. The anniversary served as a day of remembrance, with many setting aside political differences to honor those affected and remember those who were killed.
