
NASHVILLE, TENN. ~ Country music legend Dolly Parton has passed away at the age of 80, announced by her nephew Bryan Seaver on her official social media page.
Parton’s health had been of concern to many after suffering a decline following her husband’s death in March 2025.
Parton’s career was defined by success, releasing iconic songs such as “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You.” She earned 25 No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, the most of any female country artist. She also made waves in her acting career, appearing in more than 20 films.
The Tennessee native was known as a philanthropist, donating millions of dollars for college scholarships through her Dollywood Foundation.
