DETROIT ~ Moving day at the Detroit Golf Club brought significant swings across the leaderboard as low scores narrowed the spread across tournament leaders. Davis Riley stayed in front with a 7‑under 63 on Saturday, but Rasmus Højgaard’s course‑tying 61 and Michael Brennan’s steady climb reshaped the Rocket Classic leaderboard heading into Sunday.
Riley finished the third round at 15 under, and Brennan is close behind at 14 under. Four players are tied at 12 under, marking a 2-stroke gap between second and third. Riley’s score improved with each round as the course became more familiar. Sunday’s rain could slow his momentum and give a third-place player an opportunity to catch up.

Rasmus Højgaard posted the third course-tying score this week, 9 under 61, on Saturday. The Danish golfer jumped 60 spots on the leaderboard to join Fowler, Young, and Chris Kirk in third. The record-matching round was unexpected–Højgaard played a 69 Thursday and 68 Friday. His performance Saturday is hardly a stroke of luck, though. While Højgaard is seeking his first PGA Tour title, he’s proven himself with 5 international wins at only 25 years old.
The PGA Tour announced a delay for Sunday’s tee time due to predicted storms. The rain is expected to subside by mid-day, but the variable schedule is an unprecedented pressure for the final round. With a compressed leaderboard and shifting conditions, players will need to adapt their push for the podium.
