DETROIT, MICH. ~ After a horrible month of May, the Detroit Tigers are slowly turning their season around. With a 11-0 victory against the Minnesota Twins Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park, Detroit has officially won their last three series in a row to move to a 29-40 record.
The ball was flying off of Detroit bats this afternoon as the Tigers hit six homeruns in total. Infielder Colt Keith recorded his first home run of 2026, while tallying a game high three runs batted in. Left fielder Riley Greene and first baseman Spencer Torkelson also added home runs of their own, combining for four RBIs on the day.
Detroit starting pitcher Keider Montero completely shut down the Minnesota offense on the mound in his third win of the season, only allowing four hits while recording four strikeouts with no earned runs in 6.1 innings.
Standing at fourth place in the American League Central Division, the Tigers have another big weekend series coming up as Detroit will travel to Cleveland for a three-game bout with the Guardians.
