White Chapel Memorial Park to Host Annual WWI Reenactment for Memorial Day

May 22, 2026 ~ David Krall shares details on White Chapel Memorial Park’s 95th annual Memorial Day service, highlighting the importance of remembrance and how the community can take part.

TROY, MI ~ White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery will feature multiple events this weekend to honor fallen soldiers for Memorial Day.

At 3:00 p.m. Sunday, in front of the Temple of Memories, the Birmingham Concert Band will perform a musical celebration for the Patriotic Music Concert. Then at 11:00 a.m. Monday, in front of the Polar Bear Memorial, reenactors in historically accurate WWI military garb will participate in a salute to “Michigan’s Own Polar Bears” – the WWI doughboys who fought Russian soldiers on Russian soil after the Armistice.
