NORTHERN MICHIGAN ~ The northern region of the Lower Peninsula experienced a spring freeze early Wednesday morning.
A freeze warning was put in place for about 20 counties from shortly after midnight on Wednesday, ending later at 8 a.m., with frost warnings issued for multiple Mid-Michigan counties. Temperatures fell to the high 20s, with residents recommended to take measures to protect crops and plants from cold damage.
