March 20, 2026 ~ Chris Renwick, Jamie Edmonds, and Lloyd Jackson cover March Madness upsets and escalating US-Iran tensions. They discuss President Donald Trump’s Pearl Harbor comment and debate a new voting ID bill.
WASHINGTON D.C. ~ The Department of Defense is asking the White House to approve asking Congress for an additional $200 billion to fund its ongoing military assault on Iran, though the ask may prove to be difficult to pass.
The spending bill is not only facing harsh scrutiny from Congressional Democrats, but also raising questions from GOP members as well. Reports indicate that the war has already cost over $11 billion in just its first six days alone, and could be one of the priciest wars in U.S. history.
The war was launched on Feb. 28 by the U.S. and Israel when it began striking urban areas and energy infrastructure in Iran, killing over 1,400 people since. Israel has also launched a military operation into Lebanon, killing over 1,000 people.
In retaliation, Iran has sent missiles and drones at Israel, energy facilities, and U.S. bases across the region, with 13 U.S. soldiers reported dead so far.
