AUBURN HILLS, MI ~ During a visit to a manufacturing facility in Auburn Hills, Vice President JD Vance spoke on concerns of ballooning gas prices during the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
Prices of gasoline have reached $4 a gallon or more three weeks in the military campaign in Iran, with the nation closing the major shipping route in retaliation.
“Gas prices are up, and we know they’re up, we know that people are hurting because of it, and we’re doing everything that we can to ensure that they stay lower,” Vance said. “This is a temporary blip. What happened under the Biden administration is that gas prices were high for four years. Gas prices are higher right now, and frankly, they’re not even as high as they were during certain parts of the Biden administration, because of what’s going on in the Middle East. It’s not going to last forever. We’re going to take care of business. We’re going to come back home, and when that happens, you’re going to see energy prices come back down to reality.”
