UPPER PENINSULA ~ Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula are being pummeled by a raging blizzard, with parts of the U.P. under two feet of snow or more.
The town of Herman saw 36 inches of snow dumped onto it from the storm, knocking out power for thousands. The Michigan State Police Eighth District wrote on X that many back roads are snowed in and that unnecessary travel should be avoided.
