MACOMB COUNTY ~ On Tuesday, the Michigan House of Representatives approved a spending bill of $152 million to prep the base for two new aircraft before President Donald Trump leaves office.
The bill would cover the costs of two new runways to house 21 F-15EX Eagle IIs and KC-46 fuel tankers as part of a new mission promised by Trump to State House Speaker Matt Hall and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer during a White House visit. The spending bill for the Northern Macomb County air base will next go to the State Senate for approval.
