DETROIT ~ After the Salvation Army’s 39th annual Bed & Bread Club Radiothon raised $1,344,174 for its programs to help the hungry and homeless in metro Detroit, the organization is celebrating with WJR for its help in raising the funds.
“It was so exciting to see so many people come together for a 27-hour push to raise money to fight hunger and homelessness across Southeast Michigan,” Major Dawn Worthy of the Salvation Army told WJR. “You had WJR, who put so much time and effort into getting to the Radiothon, and then spent that time getting people excited, and you could see the excitement on their faces every time, every dollar that came in, as we’re celebrating.”
