DETROIT, MICH. ~ On April 1, the Rivertown Business Improvement Zone is set to be introduced to protect the property owners of the neighborhood. The owners voted in this idea as it is expected to generate $10 million over the next decade to fund a range of services like security and trash pickup. The Downtown Detroit Partnership, who has overseen the Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone, will also offer advice throughout the process.
“What a BIZ allows us to do is to make sure that all these activities are coordinated, that we have a sustainable source of funding to expand these services,” Josh Elling, CEO of Jefferson East Inc. said on ‘JR Morning.
