LOS ANGELES ~ TikTok and Snap will settle in a lawsuit seeking monetary damages over social media companies allegedly getting young users addicted to their platforms.
This leaves Meta and YouTube representatives to be a part of the court hearings, with jury selection starting Tuesday at a Los Angeles court. Over 1,600 plaintiffs are being represented in the case, accusing developers of designing addictive algorithms and systems in their social media platforms.
