DETROIT, MI ~ Detroit Tigers‘ starting pitcher Tarik Skubal made history Wednesday, earning a second consecutive American League Cy Young award. He is the first Detroit ace to win back-to-back Cy Youngs since Tigers’ legend Denny McLain, but his future in Detroit is uncertain. Skubal’s contract is up after 2026, and national reports claim that Skubal, his agent Scott Boras, and Tigers ownership are far apart in extension talks.
