DETROIT ~ Oct. 22, 2025 ~ Smokeless tobacco products, such as chewing tobacco, have been banned at Detroit sports venues in a 7-2 vote by the Detroit City Council. The ban will go into effect soon, covering stadiums such as Little Caesars Arena, Ford Field, and Comerica Park. Whoever disobeys could have to pay $100, along with facing a misdemeanor. Fines could reach $500 in the case of further wrongdoings.
