Michigan Education Leaders Concerned Over State Budget Not Increasing Per-Pupil Funding

July 2, 2024 ~ The Michigan Legislature passed the 2025 budget late last week after much deliberation, but school leaders are upset about the decision to not increase per-pupil funding. Guy Gordon, Lloyd Jackson, and Jamie Edmonds talk with the K-12 Alliance of Michigan Executive Director Robert McCann about where schools will see funding increased, while the possibility of budget cuts and layoffs due to the new budget.
