Lead levels in Detroit children 6 and under rose 28 percent last year, among children who were blood tested.
Detroit had 10 zip codes where at least 10-percent of the children who were tested had blood levels showing lead contamination.
The Flint water emergency has prompted many more parents to get their kids tested for lead.
Statewide, there was a slight increase in lead levels in the blood of children under the age of 6. Old buildings are a major culprit, according to officials.
